1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Dwelns, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
2. The Dwelns platform
Dwelns is an online marketplace that connects guests looking for short-term accommodation with hosts who have properties to rent. Dwelns is not a party to the rental agreement between guests and hosts — we facilitate the transaction and hold payments in escrow.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a legally binding contract to use Dwelns. By using the platform, you represent that you meet these requirements.
4. Bookings and payments
When a guest completes a booking, payment is collected upfront and held securely in escrow. Funds are released to the host after successful check-in. All payments are processed through Paystack and subject to their terms.
5. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation policies are set by individual hosts and displayed on each listing. Dwelns enforces the stated policy. Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days where applicable.
6. Host responsibilities
Hosts must ensure their listings are accurate, safe, and available on the dates shown. Hosts are responsible for complying with all local laws, including registration requirements and tax obligations.
7. Guest responsibilities
Guests must treat properties with respect, follow house rules set by the host, and not exceed the stated number of guests. Any damage caused during a stay is the guest's responsibility.
8. Prohibited conduct
You may not use Dwelns for any unlawful purpose, attempt to circumvent our payment system, post false or misleading listings, harass other users, or engage in any activity that disrupts the platform.
9. Limitation of liability
Dwelns is not liable for the actions of hosts or guests, the condition of properties, or any loss arising from a booking. We provide the platform as-is and make no warranties about the suitability of any listing.
10. Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Dwelns after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Questions? Email hello@dwelns.com.
